Why it Matters ?
We believe that everyone can make an impact, and often, all it takes is one small, positive action to get going. Picking up trash isn't the answer to all environmental problems, of course, but it's one of the simplest ways to get people from standstill to start—anyone can do it, and it feels incredibly rewarding when a dirty beach becomes clean.
Our Plan
The Planet Matters team spends 14 days traveling by train through every province in Austria, cleaning up plastic waste in nature together with students, company employees and posting viral content on social media and raising awareness on reducing, reusing and recycling waste properly. We accompany the classes and other volunteers on site. Everyone is welcome to collect waste! By giving out rewards to litterpickers in our Planet Matters app, we motivate people all over Austria to join in and clean up like we do!

1. Getting started
After a short motivational workshop on sustainability, plastic pollution and waste sorting we hand out garbage, gloves and tongs to participants.
2. Cleanup action
Participants start collecting waste. With fun challenges like who collects the most trash or who finds the funniest piece of trash participants get motivated and can win prizes.
3. Time to wrap it up
The waste is sorted, tracked through the Planet Matters app and disposed of properly. The prizes are distributed to winners as well as a upcycled cleanup certificate and eco-friendly branded giveaways for the whole group in a fun award ceremony.
4. Reflection
Together we talk about the experience and what we can further do in the future in our society so that we take the spirit to our daily lifes.

Our Frühjahrsputz Initiative
Each year, we launch our Spring Cleanup initiative to start the season fresh, ensuring nature is ready to bloom in a clean environment. Over two weeks, we focus on clearing out litter that accumulated during winter, removing everything that doesn’t belong in nature. Our aim is to encourage everyone to get involved, whether by joining one of our organized cleanups or simply taking small actions, like picking up a stray can. With our motto, "Every positive action counts," we create a powerful wave of collaboration and goodwill, inspiring people to come together for a cleaner, healthier planet each spring.
